His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, directed the project’s implementation, demonstrating his dedication to promoting top-notch athletic endeavors, offering youth sports environments, and establishing appropriate venues to find and nurture talent and bolster its role in the Kingdom’s sporting development.

Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, and several other officials attended the inaugural ceremony.

The facility, which is the Kingdom’s first public venue devoted to the sport, offers skaters a secure and well-equipped environment, especially in light of the sport’s increasing popularity around the world as a result of its inclusion in the Olympic Games. This emphasizes how crucial it is to provide specialized facilities that promote the sport’s expansion and draw in more players from Bahrain.

By offering young people a range of sporting and recreational options, promoting healthy lifestyles, and encouraging participation in sporting activities, the facility also functions as a community space that blends sport, creativity, and social engagement and helps to improve quality of life.

The project was carried out with the assistance and collaboration of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the General Sports Authority, Infracorp, and Premier Q as part of initiatives to advance contemporary sports and offer a supportive setting for young people to follow their passions and hone their abilities.

The facility’s opening is a significant milestone in Bahrain’s sports industry’s growth. Additionally, it fosters athletic skill and gives young people new possibilities, strengthening the Kingdom’s reputation as a place that encourages innovation in sports and investment in young talent.
