Manama, Sep. 8 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) has created the application service for importing refrigerants and units as a new digital service as part of government initiatives to develop and re-engineer services. Through the service, businesses can request permission to import air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and both quota-controlled and non-quota-controlled refrigerants. It seeks to monitor import volumes, connect them to authorized licenses and quotas, and guaranty adherence to storage and environmental regulations.

By automating the verification and review processes, the upgraded service has cut the processing time for applications from twenty working days to five working days. In addition to achieving 100% الإلكترونية transformation of the service, standardizing published service information across all channels, enhancing the user interface and experience, and streamlining procedures, the service-level agreement has also been lowered by 25%, all of which have improved beneficiary experience and service efficiency.
The SCE’s CEO, Amna Hamad Al Rumaihi, confirmed that the service is a component of the organization’s embrace of cutting-edge digital solutions. She claimed that by automating verification and review processes, electronically connecting import applications with licensing information and authorized storage locations, and confirming compliance with requirements and conditions prior to the preliminary approval being granted, the development improves the efficiency of monitoring the import of refrigerants, air conditioners, and refrigeration units.
In order to expedite the issuance of final approvals, improve data quality and accuracy, and increase the effectiveness of monitoring and compliance with approved environmental specifications, standards, and requirements, the development also involves organizing inspection and sampling procedures and electronically connecting laboratory test results to import applications.
According to Al Rumaihi, the service’s launch demonstrates the SCE’s dedication to developing its offerings in a way that saves institutions time and effort while improving the efficiency of the work system.
