Manama, May 17 (BNA): Following the discovery of several infractions of the laws and rules governing tourism activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced the closure of three tourism establishments, taking the appropriate administrative action.

The authority confirmed that these actions are a part of continuous efforts to control the tourism industry, uphold the caliber and standards of services offered by tourism businesses, and guarantee adherence to authorized rules and specifications.

It stated that, in accordance with the legal procedures outlined in Legislative Decree (15) of 1986 on Tourism Regulation and its amendments, inspection visits and recurring monitoring campaigns will continue to verify the compliance of establishments across various regions of the Kingdom with the applicable laws and regulations in cooperation with the relevant authorities.

The authority reaffirmed its dedication to bolstering the tourism industry’s growth, upholding its quality standards, and bolstering the Kingdom of Bahrain’s standing as a top travel destination through increased oversight and ongoing inspection of tourism facilities and establishments.
