Manama, May 16 (BNA): At the Asian U17 Boxing Championship, which took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from May 4 to 15, Bahraini boxer Jayden Price earned the gold medal in the 52 kg division.

The outcome put Bahrain at the top of the Arab teams competing and represented Bahrain’s first gold medal in this age group.
Price defeated opponents from Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan in four fights to earn the title.
The accomplishment was praised by His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council and Vice President of the General Sports Authority, who said that it represents continuous efforts to promote combat sports and develop youth categories in Bahrain.
The outcome, according to Bahrain Boxing Federation President Rashid Isa Feleyfel, is indicative of the organization’s emphasis on developing young athletes and bolstering Bahrain’s standing in regional and continental tournaments.
