Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) created a new digital service for requests to add environmental licenses as part of government efforts to enhance and re-engineer services. The goal of this service is to improve the management of environmental licenses for establishments, improve monitoring and follow-up, and increase compliance with approved requirements and regulations.

The service-level agreement has been lowered by 25%, the amount of necessary papers has been cut by 50%, and the processing time has been shortened from 15 working days to seven. Additionally, there are now only four phases in the application procedure.
Enhancing the user interface and experience, streamlining processes, strengthening current systems, transforming application forms into electronic forms, and standardizing published service information across all channels are additional enhancements. These steps help to improve the effectiveness and caliber of the service while expediting the application procedure.
The service is a component of the SCE’s use of cutting-edge digital solutions that streamline government processes supporting investment, promote efficiency, and improve the experience of citizens and investors, according to Amna Hamad Al Rumaihi, Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment.
According to Al Rumaihi, the service update demonstrates the SCE’s dedication to improving its offerings in order to improve the efficiency of its operations and save institutions time and effort. She stated that the change is a component of a larger strategy to create 50 more electronic services in the near future.
Over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published as part of continuous government efforts to develop and re-engineer services; 800 of these services have undergone development and re-engineering across multiple government sectors.
The National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), investor input, and mystery shopper reports assessing government services have all served as the foundation for the growth process. Additionally, guidelines and service-level agreements have been introduced to facilitate government digital transformation, improve user experience, and increase procedural efficiency and service quality.
