Finance Ministry releases Bahrain Economic Quarterly Report for Q3 2025
January 5, Manama (BNA): The Bahrain Economic Quarterly Report for Q3 2025 was released today by the Ministry of Finance and National Economy on its website, www.mofne.gov.bh.
Real GDP increased by 4.0% in Q3 2025, driven by a 3.1% increase in non-oil activities and a 9.3% increase in oil activities, according to preliminary national accounts statistics released by the Information and eGovernment Authority.
The crucial role of non-oil activities, which accounted for 85.0% of real GDP in Q3 2025, was emphasized in the paper.
Real estate grew at the fastest rate among non-oil activities in Q3 2025 (5.4%), followed by financial and insurance activities (5.0%). Construction and Transportation and Storage both experienced 4.4% growth. Wholesale and retail trade expanded by 3.3%, while manufacturing grew by 3.9%. Accommodation and Food Services had a 1.5% increase, while Information and Communication saw a 2.1% gain.
Inward Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) stock increased by 5.8% year over year in Q3 2025, reaching BHD 17.5 billion, according to the study, which also emphasized the expansion in foreign investment.
