Numerous infractions pertaining to the requirements of various regulatory laws, including the LMRA and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, were also seen as a result of the inspection campaigns and visits. It was noted that legal action was taken in response to the violations that were found.

In addition to 29 joint inspection campaigns—14 in the Capital Governorate, 7 in the Muharraq Governorate, 3 in the Northern Governorate, and 5 in the Southern Governorate—the Authority noted that 1,613 inspection visits were conducted on various shops across all governorates.

The Ministry of Interior, through the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) division, the Police Directorate of the Governorate, the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Science, the Coast Guard Command, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA), the Social Insurance Organization, and the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications are among the government agencies that took part in the campaigns.

The Authority reaffirmed the continuation of cooperative coordination with government agencies to step up inspection campaigns in all of the Kingdom’s governorates and to deal with any infractions or practices that jeopardize the Kingdom’s economic and social security or the stability and competitiveness of the labor market.

By reporting violations using the electronic form on the authority’s website, www.lmra.gov.bh, by calling the authority’s call center at 17506055, or through the government’s Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), the LMRA reaffirmed its call for everyone in society to assist government agencies in combating illegal labor practices.
