September 29, Manama (BNA): His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, presided over today’s weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Cabinet followed up on the special procedures to implement the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to offer three job opportunities to every registered Bahraini employment applicant by the end of the year. This was in accordance with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s affirmation that Bahraini citizens are at the forefront of the Kingdom’s development plans.
General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for the Follow-up on the National Plan to Promote National Belonging and Reinforce Citizenship Values, met with the people of Muharraq Governorate. The Cabinet was proud that HM the King recognized the meeting. During the meeting, the Cabinet conveyed its gratitude to the people of Muharraq Governorate for their contributions and steadfast devotion. The Cabinet then carried out HM the King’s Royal Order to create the Muharraq initiative, which will help preserve its historical identity and legacy.
Under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Cabinet confirmed the Kingdom’s continuous economic development in keeping with its overall growth. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), chaired the meeting, which reviewed the economic results from the first nine months of 2025 and highlighted this progress. Among these results is the draw of USD 1.52 billion in direct investments from 75 domestic and foreign projects. Over 4,300 jobs are expected to be created by these combined investments in the next three years.
The Cabinet wished Bahrain’s teachers a happy World Teachers’ Day, highlighting the critical role they play in ensuring the next generation is ready to contribute effectively to the Kingdom’s future growth.
Noting that this accomplishment demonstrates the Kingdom of Bahrain’s dedication to developing the civil aviation industry and bolstering safety and security standards, the Cabinet praised the ICAO Council President’s Certificate, one of the most prominent international honors in civil aviation.
The Cabinet affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to agriculture and afforestation, particularly palm cultivation and date production, by applauding the signing of a deal to locate the International Dates Council’s headquarters in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The following memorandums were then examined and approved by the Cabinet:
1. Two memoranda concerning changes to a number of unified legislation among the Gulf Cooperation Council nations were filed by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs.
2. A document about a Memorandum of Understanding between the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the University of Bahrain that was submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs.

3. A letter about Bahrain’s preparations for the Third Voluntary National Review of the Kingdom’s Sustainable Development Goals in 2026, which was presented by the Minister of Sustainable Development.
4. A letter outlining the government’s reaction to a number of draft legislation and recommendations put forth by the Council of Representatives was submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs.
The following ministerial reports were also noted by the Cabinet:
1. The First Bahrain Veterinary Conference and Exhibition 2025 results.
2. The results of the Kingdom’s involvement in the Climate Summit, which was part of the 80th UN General Assembly session.
3. The Kingdom’s participation in the 2025 Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transportation and its results.
4. The results of the Kingdom’s involvement in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly’s High-level Meeting to Honor the World Programme of Action for Youth’s 30th Anniversary.
5. Various ministers’ external involvement and foreign ministers’ October 2025 travels to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
