Manama, Sep. 9 (BNA): Government hospitals reported that after emergency teams coordinated with on-duty medical and technical workers, Civil Defense was able to contain a small fire that started in one of the wards at Salmaniya Medical Complex.

A patient with a history of drug use and prior attempts at self-harm was the cause of the occurrence. While another patient was impacted by smoke inhalation, he was burned. No more injuries to patients, employees, or guests were noted.
To guarantee the safety of everyone within the facility, all required precautions were taken, including a partial evacuation in accordance with authorized emergency protocols.
Government hospitals thanked Civil Defence and other authorities involved in handling the emergency and reaffirmed that operations at the complex are continuing unabated. In addition to taking the required legal actions, they reaffirmed their dedication to upholding the highest safety standards throughout all of its sites.
