Manama, Aug. 27 (BNA): Medical and nursing staff from all of Government Hospitals’ facilities participated in a specialized training program on enhancing protocols for blood collection and intravenous access. The CEO of Government Hospitals, Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, attended the program.

Through the implementation of the most recent safety regulations and the adoption of global best practices, the program is part of continuous efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services and increase the capability of medical staff.

In order to protect patients and healthcare personnel, Professor Omar Abdulaziz Al Awadhi, Head of Training at Government Hospitals, emphasized the significance of ongoing adherence to infection-control policies and the application of authorized procedures.

The event highlighted current initiatives to improve intravenous access and blood withdrawal procedures and included a display of training aids. To increase the training’s scope and effectiveness, it also featured a number of specialized lectures given by professionals from fields like anesthesia, cardiology, orthopaedics, and infection control.
