Manama, Aug. 21 (BNA): The Bahrain Institute for Political Development hosted the third edition of the “Future Bet” program, in which Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, participated in a debate session with young people.

The minister and youth participants had the chance to interact directly during the session, which was attended by Eman Faisal Janahi, the Institute’s executive director, Dr. Ebtisam Al Dallal, a member of the board of trustees, and several other authorities.

 

Dr. Hasan emphasized that one of the main tenets of the comprehensive development process headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with assistance from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is empowering Bahraini youth and enabling their contribution to the country’s present and future.

 

She praised the initiative as a unique forum that improves youth-official communication and gives young people a chance to share their thoughts and views. In keeping with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, she also gave a summary of the ministry’s initiatives to improve the infrastructure and health system, emphasizing the contribution of young people to the upkeep and support of the health sector.

 

The minister emphasized that investing in the potential of young national professionals is crucial to attaining sustainable development and that the ministry is dedicated to empowering them through specialized training programs and opportunities to engage in development activities. She emphasized that the health of the populace is still a top priority for the country and emphasized the value of collaboration between public and corporate sectors as well as civil society organizations in order to support youth health programs and promote creative and long-lasting solutions to problems.

 

Dr. Hasan cited positive national experiences that showed Bahraini youth could make meaningful contributions to development. Participants thanked the minister for offering this forum for productive discussion and praised the chance to speak with officials face-to-face, which encourages them to keep assisting Bahrain’s health sector in its advancement.
