Manama, August 23 (BNA): In conjunction with the inaugural “Almasyaf” Summer Art Show, which runs through September 5, the Art Center of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), in partnership with the Bahrain Arts Society, continues its series of specialized art workshops.

The courses enable participants to try out new methods and produce pieces that explore various compositions and forms of visual expression through interactive, hands-on sessions. The program offers a creative setting for individuals to expand their artistic practice, explore with materials, and create ideas.
In previous seminars, artist Sayed Hasan Al Sari used the basic components of composition, design, and color to introduce participants to new and approachable methods of abstract art. In order to produce artworks that reflected their unique viewpoints, participants experimented with various color combinations and arrangements.
Additionally, an advanced workshop on sculpture was held by artist Ahmed Anan, who guided participants through the various phases of producing three-dimensional works, from casting and painting to modeling and mold-making. Participants investigated ways to turn their imaginative concepts into three-dimensional artworks using clay in addition to a variety of other materials and methods.
During a class on 3D textured art, artist Thoraya Amin encouraged participants to use basic materials like cardboard, tissue paper, and adhesive tape to explore texture as a way to improve visual composition.
Artist Shaima Haji will demonstrate “Rug Tufting” on Saturday, August 29, teaching attendees the principles of tufting and how to utilize a tufting gun. After that, participants will use these abilities to design and make their own carpets that showcase their own inventiveness and sense of flair.
On Saturday, September 5, artist Yousif Alaradi will deliver “The Art of Ebru: Water Marbling” to wrap out the program. Participants will learn about the traditional Ebru art form, which involves applying colors to the water’s surface and manipulating them to create compositions and patterns before transferring them onto paper. Through the educational program that goes along with the “almasyaf” Summer Art Show at the Art Center, participants will expand their knowledge of color, movement, and composition while exploring the principles of the technique. This will enhance their artistic practice and increase the variety of learning opportunities available.
