Manama, July 29 (BNA): The report “Performance of the Education and Training Sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Academic Year 2025–2026” was released by the Education and Training Quality Authority. It summarizes the main conclusions drawn from evaluations of educational institutions, national exams, National Qualifications Framework procedures, and the Learning Continuity Follow-up Program. The report offers a thorough analysis of Bahrain’s training and education system’s performance.

According to the study, the authority examined 172 out of 547 universities that were under its purview during the 2025–2026 academic year, or 31% of all institutions. In addition to implementing National Qualifications Framework procedures and national exams, these included 50 government schools, 22 private schools, 51 kindergartens, 24 special education institutions, 22 vocational education and training institutions, and 3 higher education institutions.
According to the report, performance quality in both the public and private sectors has been steadily improving, as seen by the school evaluation outcomes.
According to the report, the authority carried out the first cycle of independent kindergarten reviews. The findings demonstrated that kindergartens offer secure and encouraging learning environments in addition to productive collaborations with parents and the neighborhood. The research suggested expanding chances for child-led learning, strengthening play-based learning, and fostering communication skills.
The report also examined the findings of the initial cycle of evaluations of special education institutions, which emphasized effective methods for learner assessment, creating individualized lesson plans, and creating secure and encouraging learning environments. Additionally, it highlighted the necessity of enhancing the caliber of educational experiences, fortifying learning activity planning, and boosting the efficacy of professional development initiatives for industry personnel.
With ongoing efforts to foster innovation in training program design, develop training and assessment practices, and further align outcomes with the demands of the labor market and national economy, the report demonstrated stable performance among the institutions reviewed in the vocational education and training sector.
While highlighting the significance of bolstering scientific research, innovation, and sustainable quality systems, reviews of higher education institutions revealed advanced levels of institutional maturity and academic stability.
According to the study, 23 institutions have been added to the National Qualifications Framework, 120 national qualifications have been placed, and 74 international qualifications have been recognized. This helps to raise the caliber of credentials, standardize their requirements, boost their dependability, and encourage their alignment with the demands of the labor market and routes for lifelong learning.
The outcomes of the Learning Continuity Follow-up Program, which the authority implemented throughout the shift to remote learning, were also included in the report. The findings demonstrated a high degree of preparedness among educational and training establishments and their capacity to sustain learning continuity while concentrating on enhancing learning quality and the efficacy of remote learning and assessment models in the subsequent stage.
The report is a component of the work done by the Education and Training Quality Authority in managing the National Qualifications Framework procedures, conducting national exams, and evaluating the performance of educational and training establishments.
