Manama, July 27 (BNA): The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Waqf expanded its Reconsideration of Decisions service within the Minors Sector as part of continuous government efforts to enhance and re-engineer the quality of public services. This allows individuals under guardianship and those in charge of their affairs to submit requests for reconsideration of decisions made on their applications for review and redetermination in accordance with the approved procedures.

The processing time has been shortened from 48 working days to 14 working days under the improved service. One supporting document is now all that is needed, and 25% fewer approvals are needed to receive the service. In order to increase accessibility and provide more clarity on requirements and procedures, information regarding the service has also been consolidated across all official media.

The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf’s Undersecretary for Justice and Islamic Affairs, Judge Isa Sami Al Mannai, stated that the improvement of services offered to individuals under guardianship is a component of the ministry’s continuous efforts to streamline processes, increase service effectiveness, and give beneficiaries more accessible and adaptable service channels, all of which enhance user experience and expedite transaction completion.

In order to streamline processes and expedite the review and determination of requests more effectively, he said the development included reorganizing the service workflow by reviewing applications through the service center, reducing the necessary documents to a single supporting document, and increasing the use of the authorized electronic channels for submitting applications.

In keeping with the government’s efforts to provide beneficiaries with faster, more flexible, and more efficient services, the improvement is a component of the ministry’s ongoing plan to modernize services offered by the Minors Sector, enhance procedural efficiency, and advance the digital transformation of government services.

Over 1,300 government services have been recorded, translated, and published as part of continuous government efforts to develop and re-engineer government services; approximately 800 services are currently undergoing development and re-engineering across several government sectors.

The National System for Suggestions and Complaints, Tawasul, investor feedback, secret shopper surveys assessing government services, the introduction of guidance manuals, and service level agreements serve as the foundation for this.

These initiatives enhance the government’s digital transformation process, strengthen beneficiary experiences, improve procedural efficiency, and improve service quality.
