Manama, July 31 (BNA): The United States President, His Excellency Donald J. Trump, announced a historic disarmament agreement in the Gaza Strip, which the Kingdom of Bahrain applauded. In order to put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people and strengthen security, stability, and enduring peace in the area, the Ministry confirmed that this is a positive and constructive move in support of the implementation of the comprehensive peace plan.
Bahrain welcomes US President’s announcement of historic agreement on disarmament in Gaza Strip
With the help of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Turkey, the Board of Peace, and other regional and international partners, the United States of America, led by HE President Trump, made strategic diplomatic efforts and initiatives that led to this agreement. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement conveyed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s profound gratitude for these efforts. The Ministry confirmed that these initiatives demonstrate how crucial cooperation and multilateral diplomacy are to improving regional and global security and peace.
The Kingdom of Bahrain’s complete support for the execution of the comprehensive peace plan in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 was reiterated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution, it emphasized the significance of ensuring the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid, supporting recovery and reconstruction efforts, facilitating the return of the Palestinian Authority to the Gaza Strip, and protecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in a way that promotes security, stability, justice, and prosperity for all peoples in the region.
