Manama, June 23 (BNA): “Career World,” Bahrain’s first specialized platform devoted to career assistance for secondary school students, was launched by Skills Bahrain, a program under the auspices of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen.” Ministers, high-ranking officials, and leaders from the public and commercial sectors attended the occasion when the announcement was made.
Tamkeen’s Skills Bahrain launches “Career World” to guide students on career paths
The “Career World” platform, which was created to provide students with current labor market insights, encourages them to make well-informed educational and career decisions that complement their skills and meet the demands of Bahrain’s economic sectors. The platform was created by Skills Bahrain under the “Tamkeen” umbrella in collaboration with the Higher Education Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA).
The “Career World” platform introduction is consistent with Skills Bahrain’s continuous efforts to offer data-driven labor market support solutions. It comes after the establishment of the Employability Skills Portal, which is devoted to job development and labor market analysis.
By offering trustworthy labor market insights to support well-informed and long-lasting academic and professional decisions, the platform caters to students, parents, and career counselors. Additionally, it gives career counselors access to a wealth of data to aid in their advice and assist students in matching their goals with the reality of the workforce.
The platform offers extensive information on over 160 professions, updated on a regular basis to include relevant academic specializations, necessary skills, and pay ranges. It gives students a sharper, more useful perspective on job options. Additionally, the platform provides integrated content that highlights important economic sectors and the size of their workforce, along with condensed explanations of each profession and its primary duties. This helps students comprehend the demands of the labor market and get ready early on.
The platform offers students a more engaging and relatable learning experience with multimedia content, such as career-related introductory videos and real-world career experiences.
The platform’s introduction, according to Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen,” demonstrates Tamkeen’s dedication to nurturing national talent and improving their preparedness for the labor market. “The Career World platform is a ground-breaking initiative built on real labor market data, helping students and youth make more informed educational and career decisions,” she stated.
