The initiative, which builds on Bahrain Bourse’s Capital Market Development Strategy 2026–2028, intends to increase market research coverage and directly support the strategy’s main goals, which are to improve investor awareness, increase market transparency, and raise Bahrain-listed companies’ visibility to regional and foreign investors.

The initiative, according to Bahrain Bourse CEO Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, represents the ongoing dedication to improving market transparency and bolstering Bahrain Bourse’s standing as a desirable and accessible investment location. He pointed out that independent, superior research is essential for increasing market visibility, boosting investor trust, and facilitating better-informed investment choices, especially for foreign investors.

SICO’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Najla Al Shirawi, stated that the company is happy to collaborate with Bahrain Bourse on the project, which demonstrates a common dedication to boosting investor involvement and deepening the market. She pointed out that independent, high-caliber research is essential for promoting well-informed investment choices and raising listed firms’ profile. Al Shirawi continued, “The mandate aims to contribute to the continued development and depth of Bahrain’s capital markets while expanding access to research through SICO’s digital channels, including the SICO Research app, enabling a broader segment of investors to benefit from the company’s analysis and investment recommendations.

SICO will use its proven research capabilities, sector knowledge, and exacting valuation techniques to deliver impartial, high-quality assessments. In order to facilitate wider market access and interaction, the research will be disseminated via Bahrain Bourse’s website and other important international venues.
