The processing time for data changes has been shortened from 20 working days to 3 working days, and the processing time for application submission has been shortened from 20 working days to 5 working days under these improved services. The amount of necessary documents has been cut by 50%, the service level agreement has been lowered by at least 25%, and the application process has been shortened to a maximum of four steps. Additionally, the service information has been standardized across many official channels and the user interface and user experience have been enhanced, all of which contribute to increased transparency and accessibility.

As the fund distributes aid received from donors to registered cases, Judge Shaikh Omar bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, confirmed that the development of the Zakat and charity fund services falls within a vision aimed at modernizing procedures, expediting case review, and guaranteeing the effective delivery of assistance to beneficiaries.

According to Judge Shaikh Omar bin Duaij, the development process involved converting the beneficiary case form into an electronic form, reorganizing the case review process by reviewing documents through the service center, shortening the case study’s duration, and lowering the number of necessary documents, all of which contributed to quicker case evaluation and decision-making.

Judge Shaikh Omar bin Duaij also upheld the fund’s emphasis on establishing connections with governmental organizations to facilitate the effectiveness of case review, which is based on an updated database and improves the fund’s ability to distribute zakat funds and donor contributions to the most vulnerable populations.

Over 1,300 government services have been recorded, translated, and published as part of continuous government efforts to develop and re-engineer government services; approximately 800 services are currently undergoing development and re-engineering across several government sectors.

The National System for Suggestions and Complaints, Tawasul, investor feedback, secret shopper surveys assessing government services, the introduction of guidance manuals, and service level agreements serve as the foundation for this.

These initiatives enhance the government’s digital transformation process, strengthen beneficiary experiences, improve procedural efficiency, and improve service quality.
