Manama, May 6 (BNA): According to the Head of the Terror Crimes Prosecution, the Lower Criminal Court rendered decisions in seven distinct instances including rioting, violence, and vandalism during its session today. Fourteen defendants were fined between BD200 and BD500, sentenced to two to three years in prison, and had their seized property impounded.

The Ministry of Interior’s security directorates had sent seven complaints to the Public Prosecution, stating that the defendants were caught at the scene while committing violent and vandalistic activities. Before sending the cases to court, the Public Prosecution investigated the defendants, questioned persons involved, heard witness testimony, and examined technical reports.

Before rendering its decisions, the court considered the cases at multiple hearings.

The Public Prosecution emphasized its dedication to upholding the law and preserving stability by announcing that it will continue to take strong legal action against any actions that jeopardize community safety or public security.
