Manama, Dec. 31 (BNA): Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf; Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture; Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA); Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs; DrJaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health; Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development; and Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), visited the Hawa Al Manama festivala premier event in the Celebrate Bahrain season.

The ministers examined the cultural and tourism offerings that restore Manama’s social and commercial memory and recreate a unique era in the capital’s history. The event contributes to a thorough and rewarding tourism experience for citizens, residents, and tourists by highlighting facets of heritage and national identity.

According to Minister Al Sairafi, the Hawa Al Manama festival is an integrated tourism experience that honors tradition and appeals to both locals and tourists, reflecting the genuine character of the Kingdom and showcasing the beauty of its cultural and socioeconomic variety. She pointed out that the event strengthens Manama’s standing as a thriving hub of culture and tourism by drawing inspiration from the ideas of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the orders of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Hawa Al Manama festival is one of the unique events that are part of the Celebrate Bahrain season, she continued. Manama Souq was chosen as the venue because of the site’s importance and its pivotal role in forming the Kingdom’s economic and social identity, she said, adding that the event, now in its second edition, serves as an important platform to highlight the cultural heritage of the capital and its historical character.

According to Minister Al Sairafi, planning such events is a component of the Ministry of Tourism’s and the BTEA’s ongoing efforts to diversify the tourism offering and support the goals of the Tourism Sector Strategy 2022–2026. In order to guarantee the continuation of high-quality programs that satisfy visitors’ expectations, she emphasized the significance of integrated government efforts and reinforced relationships with the commercial sector.

One of the major occasions during the Celebrate Bahrain season is the Hawa Al Manama festival. It provides a variety of activities that capture significant moments in Manama’s memories, such as interactive exercises, culinary adventures, and museums and exhibitions covering a range of subjects. The festival, which runs until January 15, 2026, contains about 200 notable Bahraini initiatives from various industries and is organized by 250 Bahraini youth volunteers.
