Dec. 19, Manama (BNA): Throughout the medieval city of Muharraq, which stretches over 3.5 kilometers along the Pearling Path, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fourth edition of the Muharraq Nights festival continues to offer a schedule of cultural, artistic, and interactive events.

Muharraq’s historical ties to the sea and pearl diving legacy are reflected in the festival’s maritime festivities, which depart from Bu Maher Fort Harbour aboard the Kanoo 2 Jalboot and include fishing and oyster opening.
Afaq Creative organizes the program’s creative workshops, which include T-shirt design inspired by Muharraq, paper art workshops with Eman Hussain Ali overseeing traditional Bahraini doors, a visual arts workshop with Bashayer Al Mahdi, and a content creation and storytelling workshop with Hajar Abdulaziz addressing visual and digital production.
Allayali Studio is giving portrait photography sessions with photographer Mohammed Al Ammadi, while Shaikha Al Abbasi of Solid Design Studio is presenting a professional exchange for creative enterprises during dialogue sessions.
The program also includes artology classes that include the creation of lampshades and candles in partnership with Ivory Lab, as well as porcelain plate decoration. With cooperation from experts in a variety of sectors, the Amanah Creative is contributing weekly seminars on national identity and cultural memory that address traditional clothing, Bahraini cuisine, Bahraini gold, and Fijri music.
For the first time, Kalimat House is taking part in discussion groups that present Muharraq’s cultural presence through modern viewpoints by fusing literature, art, design, photography, and ideas.
The launch of Saudi Modern: Jeddah in Transition (1938–1964), cultural evenings with a discussion of Shreena as part of the “Pages from Muharraq” program, activities by the Rashid Al Zayani Charity Foundation, crafts and workshops by Artly and Calmmess, events by McKinney Games, and workshops led by Bait Al Naqda are among the other events.
Initiatives by Sophia Bookstore, live events at the art station fusing tradition and modern creativity, talks by the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research, artistic endeavors by Taa Youth, and events by Bahrain Sports Club showcasing its historical significance in the country’s sports scene are all included in the program.
Muharraq Nights will last till December 30. Activities take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday through Wednesday and from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Thursday through Saturday.
