Manama, Nov. 24 (BNA): In collaboration with the University of Bahrain, the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology (NCST) organized the First Youth Cybersecurity Forum, which was officially opened by Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, CEO.

Dr. Hessa Al Junaid, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Bahrain, and Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy CEO for Cybersecurity Operations at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), were present.
Through conversations and hands-on workshops, the forum functioned as an interactive platform that linked students with experts from other universities. It offered chances for professional exposure and skill development in the cybersecurity industry.
It is a component of a number of collaborative projects between NCST and the University of Bahrain to foster domestic talent and develop skills that match the demands of the labor market in the technology industry.
Dr. Al Nuaimi emphasized in his speech that the Center’s strategic focus is to empower Bahraini youth in cybersecurity. He emphasized continued initiatives to provide advanced training and educational pathways in collaboration with regional and global partners, as well as to offer students and interested parties professional development possibilities and certifications.
He stated that the forum’s objectives are to acquaint young people with market demands, improve their practical expertise, and establish direct connections with specialists.
Abubaker Mohammed, CTO at Beyon Cyber; Dr. Mazen Ali, dean of the University of Bahrain’s College of Information Technology; and Ravi Jayasundara, CEO of Sysprove Consulting and vice president of the ISACA Bahrain Chapter, were among the experts and academics who participated in the forum’s main panel session.
In addition to reviewing future prospects and difficulties in the field, the discussion covered the significance of matching education and training programs with labor market demands and making sure students are prepared for advancements in cybersecurity.
Additionally, the event featured specialized seminars that were conducted in collaboration with several training and professional institutions. These workshops supported participants’ academic and professional development in this area and gave them a practical understanding of digital security concerns.
