November 13, Manama (BNA): The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving professional skills, increasing workforce productivity, and bolstering the role of Bahraini talent in propelling economic growth by announcing the release of the Human Resources Skills Report under the “Skills Bahrain” project.

The research outlines significant changes in the human resources industry, both domestically and internationally, brought about by changes in labor expectations and technology improvements. It highlights the increasing significance of incorporating technology to boost productivity, increase workplace engagement, and improve the effectiveness of HR operations. This comprises Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms in areas including hiring, performance management, and employee benefits, as well as the application of artificial intelligence for CV screening and creating recruitment metrics.

The research, which was created in cooperation with members of the private sector and other stakeholders, identifies the most sought-after positions: Organizational Design and Development Professional, Learning and Development Professional, and Compensation and Benefits Manager. Along with crucial fundamental qualities that facilitate success in the area, such as flexibility, communication, empathy, initiative, and digital literacy, it also lists important technical skills like data analysis, policy drafting and creation, and organizational development.

Amer Marhoon, Managing Director of Skills Bahrain, commented on the research and emphasized how important it is for developing strategies for human capital development.

“Tamkeen’s activities will be guided by the report’s insights to develop national skills and prepare them for future labor demands. In order to keep firms competitive in a constantly shifting labor market, the HR industry is rapidly changing, requiring the adoption of creative, technology-driven methods and data-driven decision-making,” he continued.

Under the auspices of the Labor Fund “Tamkeen,” Skills Bahrain is a project that aims to close the skills gap that local talent faces as a result of the ongoing changes and advancements in the global labor market. By giving its stakeholders the insight, sector-specific data, and tools they need, Skills Bahrain collaborates closely with companies, education and training providers, and government stakeholders to address the skills gap. It helps Bahraini talent become competent and globally competitive by facilitating the transition from school to work and offering a clear path for career advancement.
