Riyadh, Nov. 8 (BNA): At the current Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Bahrain earned the bronze medal in Judo thanks to Ruslan Poltoratski’s bronze in the under-60kg division. This victory opened Bahrain’s medal total and gave the Kingdom a great start to the Games.

Bahrain also had a great day in a number of sports. The Bahrain volleyball team defeated Saudi Arabia in an exciting encounter that demonstrated their readiness and tenacity. With great expectations of maintaining Bahrain‘s proud athletic representation at this significant Islamic event, the men’s and women’s table tennis teams started their competitions.
However, the women’s team fell to Iran in the tournament’s opening match, and the men’s squad lost to Kazakhstan.
