Manama, Nov. 4 (BNA): The Bahrain Bodybuilding Federation (BBF) hosted the 6th West Asian Bodybuilding Championship, in which 230 athletes from seven different nations competed. Bahrain finished third overall.
Bahrain wins 24 medals in 6th West Asian Bodybuilding Championship
Oman finished second, and the United Arab Emirates won first.
Twelve gold, seven silver, and five bronze were among the remarkable 24 medals that Bahrain‘s competitors won.
Mohammed Abduljaleel (Master Physique and Physique 179 cm), Khalid Al Saeedi (Physique 176 cm and Overall Champion), Abdulrahman Al Bastaki (Physique 182 cm), Ahmed Hubail (Classic Physique 180 cm and Overall Champion), Abdullah Al Burshaid (Classic Bodybuilding 168 cm), Ali Ebrahim (Junior Bodybuilding), Sayed Hadi Hashem (Bodybuilding 70 kg and Overall Champion), and Khaled Jassim (Bodybuilding 75 kg).
Omar Janahi (Physique 171 cm), Abdulla Isa (Physique 173 cm), Mohammed Bukhalaf (Classic Bodybuilding 175 cm and Classic Physique 175 cm), Salman Al Thawadi (Classic Bodybuilding 168 cm), and Mohammed Abdulameer Marhoon (Bodybuilding 80 kg) were awarded silver medals.
Abdullah Isa (Master Physique), Mohammed Jameel (Classic Physique 175 cm), Hassan Al Ruwaie (Classic Bodybuilding 171 cm), Mohammed Ali (Classic Bodybuilding 180 cm), and Mohammed Naji (Bodybuilding 85 kg) all won bronze.
The president of BBF, Sami Al Hadded, praised the intense competition and expressed delight in the high level of participation in the sixth edition of the West Asian Championship. He confirmed that Bahrain’s bodybuilding scene is moving in the correct direction, with both technical performance and participation continuously increasing.
