Nov. 3, Manama (BNA): The prime minister and crown prince, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, presided over the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace today.

The Cabinet praised Bahrain for successfully organizing the Third Asian Youth Games, which were sponsored by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Cabinet also acknowledged the accomplishments of Bahraini athletes and commended the organizers.
The Cabinet acknowledged the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), as well as His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
In addition to congratulating His Majesty the King on the Kingdom’s successful hosting of the IISS Manama Dialogue 2025, the Cabinet affirmed that the forum’s talks improve international understanding and collaboration in support of regional and global security.
On behalf of His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness attended the Grand Egyptian Museum’s opening, and the Cabinet congratulated the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Cabinet conveyed its appreciation for the cordial welcome given to His Royal Highness and the delegation that accompanied them.
The Grand Egyptian Museum, according to the Cabinet, is a monument to the lasting influence of Egyptian civilization and emphasizes the value of culture as a foundation for promoting international relations and understanding.
The Cabinet also conveyed gratitude for Egypt’s innovative efforts in maintaining cultural legacy, promoting global civilization, and fostering intercultural dialogue.
The Cabinet then underlined the importance of the third edition of the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2025, held by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Cabinet stated that the forum reinforces Bahrain’s status as a regional center for investment by acting as a leading regional economic platform and highlighting exciting business prospects both within and outside the Kingdom.
The Cabinet also applauded the announcement of 61 initiatives and 33 agreements for new projects totaling about USD 17 billion, pointing out that the Bahrain Economic Development Board and other organizers’ efforts were reflected in the forum’s successful organization and international participation.
The Cabinet emphasized the significance of following maritime and fishery safety protocols, laws, and regulations while offering its sympathies to the family of the citizen who was reported lost at sea.
In order to assist protect lives and property, the Cabinet further urged all citizens and residents to work with the appropriate security agencies.
The Cabinet praised the Coast Guard’s professionalism and prompt emergency reaction, as well as their committed efforts to ensure the safety and security of seafarers.
Additionally, the Cabinet thanked the State of Qatar’s General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security for their assistance in this matter.
On Bahraini Doctor’s Day, the Cabinet congratulated all Bahraini physicians and medical workers, praising their hard work in advancing the Kingdom’s healthcare system.
The latest UN Security Council resolution on the Western Sahara crisis was then applauded by the Cabinet. In this regard, the Cabinet stated that the resolution, which calls for talks based on the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative, is a significant step toward achieving a definitive and long-lasting political solution to the problem, in accordance with the goals and tenets of the United Nations Charter and pertinent Security Council resolutions.
The United States of America’s diplomatic efforts in formulating and submitting the resolution, which reiterates the significance of settling issues through discussions, were also acknowledged by the Cabinet.

The following memorandums were then examined and approved by the Cabinet:
1. A note that the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs provided about a proposed law that would allow Bahrain to join the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information.
2. The Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs issued a memorandum about a proposed bill that aims to create a comprehensive legislative framework that encourages tolerance, coexistence, and the fight against hate speech as important pillars of unity.
3. A letter that the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs provided about a number of proposed resolutions to reorganize different health-related teams and committees.
4. A document about a memorandum of understanding between the Singapore Gulf Bank and the Ministry of Tourism that was submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs.
5. A note about a memorandum of agreement between the University of Bahrain and the Board of Trustees of the Colorado School of Mines in the United States was filed by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs.
6. A letter about memorandums of agreement between the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute and the Royal University for Women and the Euro University of Bahrain was filed by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs.
7. A memo from the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs about the start of talks on a strategic partnership agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union.
The following ministerial reports were then noted by the Cabinet:
1. The results of the Kingdom’s involvement in the Future Investment Initiative Forum.
2. The results of Bahrain’s attendance at the GCC Ministerial Committee for Transport and Communications’ 27th meeting.
3. The results of attending the 2025 Global Health Forum.
4. A report on the results of Bahrain‘s involvement in several GCC ministerial committees, submitted by the Minister of Industry and Commerce.
