Manama, Oct. 29 (BNA): Two public parks in the Sitra Housing City were opened by Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, was there.

In addition to promoting urban development and raising living standards, the project seeks to improve the standard of housing and municipal services.

The first park is 2,104 square meters in size, while the second is 2,174 square meters. Both have green spaces, kid-friendly play areas, multipurpose sports grounds, and covered seating sections.

In keeping with Bahrain’s overall development progress, Minister Al Mubarak reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to initiating service initiatives that satisfy citizens’ desires and improve the quality of services throughout the Kingdom. He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to consistently creating parks and public facilities in a variety of locations, growing initiatives that promote green spaces, and enhancing park, walkway, and recreational site infrastructure to meet community requirements.

The minister highlighted the ministry’s continued collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to offer integrated services within housing projects, utilizing available spaces to deliver municipal facilities near residents and improve these areas’ urban and environmental character.

According to Minister Al Rumaihi, the ministry prioritizes the distribution of green areas as part of sustainable city planning in order to ensure quality of life in its present and future housing developments. She pointed out that the two parks’ opening adds significantly to the Sitra Housing City’s array of amenities and services.

In order to create an integrated residential environment that satisfies the needs of inhabitants and reinforces the social fabric of families, she continued, housing city designs include the distribution of green spaces, open areas, parks, children’s playgrounds, and sports fields inside neighborhoods.

MP Jaleela Alawi Al Sayed, for her part, expressed gratitude for the two ministries’ efforts in carrying out projects that offer families and kids safe recreational areas, pointing out that these initiatives improve people’s quality of life and satisfy their expectations.

According to MP Mohsen Ali Al Asbool, the initiative represents the government’s emphasis on enhancing the urban environment and offering necessary amenities in new housing cities, supporting sustainability and service development.

The Capital Municipal Council Chairman, Saleh Taher Taradah, praised the collaborative efforts of both ministries in creating parks and public spaces that promote community well-being. He emphasized how crucial these initiatives are to providing accessible leisure areas and encouraging healthy living.
