Manama, Oct. 19 (BNA): As the Bahrain women’s futsal team trained for the Asian Games, Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, the chairperson of the Committee on Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sports and a board member of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), attended the sessions.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the BOC, sent greetings from Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid during the visit. He also praised the players and coaching staff for their hard work representing the Kingdom of Bahrain at this significant event.
She also paid a visit to the Bahrain women’s volleyball squad to assess their overall competitive readiness and technical preparations.
Strong faith in Bahraini female athletes’ ability to produce outstanding achievements that showcase the Kingdom’s notable advancements in women’s sports was voiced by Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid. She claimed that Bahrain’s participation in the Asian Games is a significant chance to highlight the country’s talent and increase its visibility.
She emphasized that the Committee fully supports all national teams and that its goal of promoting gender balance in sports and achieving more success at the regional and continental levels places a strong emphasis on the empowerment of female athletes.
