Manama, Aug. 16 (BNA): As part of continuous government initiatives to improve and re-engineer public services, the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) has created its digital service for buying chemicals from the local market.

In order to help control transactions between local suppliers and purchasers and guaranty adherence to safety and environmental regulations, the service allows businesses to submit requests to acquire and sell chemicals, refrigerants, and regulated chemical compounds.
Thanks to complete automation, streamlined processes and paperwork, and an enhanced user experience, the service’s processing time has decreased from twenty working days to five.
The upgraded service, according to SCE CEO Amina Hamad Al Rumaihi, improves oversight of chemical trading thru automated verification and electronic linking with suppliers’ registered data, ensuring purchases are made from licensed entities, verifying quantities, and digitally documenting transactions.
She continued by saying that the program enhances the government’s goal of providing high-quality digital services and promotes more effective regulation of chemical trading.
