Bahrain National Stadium hosted the second edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Football Cup for the 2025–2026 season, which His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, attended.

Riffa Club and Muharraq Club faced off in the final, and Riffa won 8–7 on penalties to win the championship.
In addition to congratulating Riffa Club on their victory, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the team’s performance and spirit of competition during the competition. His Highness also praised Muharraq Club’s efforts, pointing out that the final’s athletic attitude embodied Bahraini sport’s ideals.
The final, according to His Highness, demonstrated Bahraini football’s ongoing growth and the bright future it holds.
His Highness went on to say that the Khalid bin Hamad Football Cup is a valuable venue for promoting football, fostering fair competition between clubs, advancing the sport, and helping national teams field talented players who can compete both domestically and internationally on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Highness wished all clubs luck in upcoming competitions and continued success for Bahraini football, highlighting that the tournaments‘ continued existence shows support for the game and a dedication to creating an atmosphere that fosters the identification and development of football talent.
