Manama, February 10 (BNA): The fifty-second edition of the Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition will open at the Bahrain National Museum on February 15 under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) is in charge of organizing the show.

This well-known artistic occasion honors new visual experiences, modern artistic manifestations, and innovative methods that have helped to significantly alter the course of the fine arts movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain. With pieces that showcase the richness and diversity of their cultural backgrounds from a variety of worldwide artistic schools, over 70 artists are taking part in the exhibition.

Among other forms of artistic expression distinguished by modern practices and experimental approaches to media and methods, the participating works exhibit unique styles and cutting-edge techniques in the visual arts, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and installation art.

Through fresh viewpoints where regional symbols converge with international artistic expressions, these pieces greatly enhance the cultural landscape. The exhibition provides a visual discourse inside an integrated aesthetic framework that reflects the long and cumulative history of Bahrain’s artistic movement, presented through a variety of interpretive and expressive dimensions.

Prominent people from the art world have participated in this edition. The Selection Committee includes curator Bader Al Saad, curator Melissa Enders-Bhatia, and visual artist and curator Ahmed Emam. Hayfa Al Jishi, curator and founder of Albareh Art Space; Suheyla Takesh, director of the Barjeel Art Foundation; and Dr. Effat Fadag, curator and director of Naqsh Art Studio, are on the jury committee.

The Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition has been the most important visual arts venue in the Kingdom since its founding in 1972. It affirms the Bahraini artistic experience’s richness, diversity, and continuity while also highlighting its significance to the Arab and international art scenes.
