Manama, Jan. 12 (BNA): Today, at Gudaibiya Palace, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with representatives of the top 100 organizations that employed the greatest number of Bahrainis in 2025.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Kingdom’s leading citizen employers
His Royal Highness emphasized during the meeting that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s programs and initiatives that increase national workforce participation in the Kingdom’s development continue to prioritize providing Bahrainis with high-quality employment opportunities.
The national commitment to keep funding social programs that assist Bahraini citizens was reiterated by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Royal Highness emphasized that the private sector is an important collaborator and catalyst in accomplishing the Kingdom’s economic development objectives, especially by boosting the labor market to fulfill the Kingdom’s ambitions and generating jobs for Bahrainis.
All job seekers registered with the Ministry were given three work possibilities in accordance with His Royal Highness’ directive to the Ministry of Labor; thus far, 5,078 citizens have been employed under this effort. These results, which revealed that 26,963 Bahrainis were employed last year—achieving 108% of the annual aim of hiring 25,000 Bahrainis annually—have been crucial in bolstering the Kingdom’s labor market. 9,149 Bahrainis joined the workforce, which is 114% of the yearly goal of 8,000 new Bahrainis joining the workforce.
Furthermore, the Cabinet assigned the Ministry of Labor the task of stepping up efforts to hire 25,000 Bahrainis in 2026, with 10,000 of them being newcomers to the workforce in that year, by fortifying current partnerships and collaboration with the private sector.
His Royal Highness thanked all businesses and organizations for hiring Bahrainis, praised their collaboration, and affirmed that they are a vital component of Team Bahrain because they support all initiatives that benefit the Kingdom and its people.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed delight in the long-standing and continuous collaboration between the public and commercial sectors, which has historically strengthened the growth of the Kingdom.
In order to boost the Kingdom’s growth and provide real advantages for the Kingdom and its people, His Royal Highness emphasized the significance of maintaining this cooperation.
The proprietors of the businesses and organizations in attendance conveyed their appreciation for His Royal Highness’s backing of the private sector and his dedication to enhancing public-private sector collaborations in order to realize the Kingdom’s goals.
The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy; and a number of other senior officials.
