Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) hosted the third edition of the “Future Bet” program, whereby Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Justice Minister, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, met with a group of young participants.

In keeping with the objectives of the comprehensive development process headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to build capacities and develop the skills of national cadres, Justice Minister Al Maawda emphasized that youth are a fundamental pillar in advancing judicial development.

BIPD Executive Director Eman Faisal Janahi and Board of Trustees member Bassam Ismail Al Binmohammed attended the meeting.

Key judicial development projects aimed at improving access to justice and preserving the rule of law were introduced by the justice minister. He also described how the ministry contributes to the establishment of moderation, the dissemination of Quranic studies, and the advancement of religious principles in Islamic affairs.

In line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, he emphasized the ministry’s support for the country’s economy by enhancing services for citizens, residents, and investors and by establishing new legal professions like private executors, private notaries, and dispute mediators.

Minister Al Maawada praised the involvement of young people in the planning and execution of these important projects, which have greatly facilitated and developed procedures. He reviewed the ongoing digital transformation in the judicial sector, covering execution services, courts, juvenile affairs, documentation, judicial announcements, pilgrimage, and other areas.

He emphasized that human resources, particularly youth, are a key focus and goal for the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, which raises legal awareness and human rights culture through regular programs.

Through education on sustainable development goals and their connection to Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, the “Future Bet” program seeks to empower participants and increase their awareness of the comprehensive development journey that embodies the high visions of His Majesty the King and the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Constitution. Additionally, it imparts knowledge and skills, fosters collaboration, fosters initiative and creativity to advance the country, builds leadership abilities, facilitates communication and the interchange of ideas, and gets people ready for active national engagement.

Building on the success of the first two editions, the third edition of the program has a number of conversation meetings that bring together young people and senior officials and ministers to address issues that are crucial to the country’s present and future.
