Manama, Jan. 31 (BNA): The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) announced that, as of Sunday, February 1, 2026, the Isa Town Customer Service Center has joined the Mawaeed application, making it possible to schedule appointments for services related to birth and death certificates as well as building and establishment addresses.

iGA Isa Town Customer Service Centre joins Mawaeed app for appointment booking from February 1

According to the iGA, the service offers users who prefer in-person visits an extra way to schedule appointments using the Mawaeed app. The app may be downloaded from the Android, iOS, and Huawei app stores, as well as the eGovernment App Store at bahrain.bh/apps.

The prior appointment system, which required guests to physically arrive in order to receive a token, has been replaced with the new system. With automatic reminders to confirm and remind users of their planned visits to the Isa Town Customer Service Center, the revised procedure enables users to arrange and manage appointments remotely at any time.

The project is in line with the government’s strategy to promote digital transformation and improve citizen and resident service delivery, according to the iGA. Access to government services is made easier, transaction efficiency is increased, and waiting times are decreased thanks to the new system.

The National Portal, bahrain.bh, continues to provide birth, death, and address-related services electronically, the authorities explained. The Mawaeed app can be used to schedule appointments for services that need in-person attendance.

Currently, 46 government service centers and 20 government entities are covered by the Mawaeed application, which facilitates appointment scheduling, shortens wait times, and enhances overall service quality.

Citizens and residents can make comments and inquiries via the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul) at bahrain.bh/Tawasul or via the Tawasul app, or they can call the Government Services Contact Center at 80008001.
