His Majesty the King’s greetings were delivered by HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad, who also unveiled the plaque commemorating the mosque’s opening. His Highness highlighted the historical significance of the Isa Al Kabeer Mosque and its connection to the early founders in order to convey His Majesty’s pride in its rebuilding. The renovation, according to His Highness, demonstrates His Majesty the King’s dedication to preserving places of worship and their function in upholding moral principles, fostering national cohesion, and assisting philanthropic endeavors inside the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad, the opening takes place in accordance with the royal order designating this year as the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer” in remembrance of Bahrain’s founder and a pivotal figure in the country’s institutional growth. His Highness emphasized the significance of mosques in religious, social, and educational life and noted that they are a center of learning with connections to educational and cultural institutions both inside and outside of Bahrain. His Highness also praised the assistance in building houses of worship that His Majesty the King and the Government, under the leadership of Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, gave.

The Sunni Endowments Council’s chairman, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, praised the ongoing assistance provided to mosques and other places of worship. He pointed out that in order to make it easier to execute religious ceremonies, mosques are built alongside housing projects all around Bahrain.

In order to connect the past and present, he noted, the mosque was reconstructed in the traditional Bahraini architectural style. It maintains its longstanding tradition of teaching and community service while encouraging moderation and tolerance. It also has the largest Quran memorization center in the Kingdom.

Officials then gave HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad an update on the mosque’s construction and design, which includes state-of-the-art amenities and high architectural standards to guarantee worshippers’ comfort and safety.

Isa Al Kabeer Mosque, which combines traditional Islamic architecture with contemporary amenities to promote worship and cultural events, is a notable architectural and religious addition, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad emphasized.

At the end of the ceremony, participants praised the ministries and authorities involved in the construction of the mosque and thanked His Majesty the King for his ongoing assistance in sustaining houses of worship.
