Dec. 27, Manama (BNA): According to the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ Meteorological Directorate, cold weather conditions with the return of northerly winds are predicted to hit the Kingdom of Bahrain later on Sunday evening, December 28, 2025, and last until Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Meteorological Directorate: cold weather, strong winds expected in Bahrain from December 28 to January 1
According to the directorate, on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 30–31, winds are predicted to be moderate to vigorous, occasionally turning severe. Wave heights can range from one to three feet near coastal areas to three to six feet offshore, which might result in blown dust in some areas and unstable sea conditions.
With maximum temperatures probably falling between 17 and 19°C and minimum temperatures between 11 and 13°C, the winds are also predicted to contribute to a decrease in temperature. Because of the wind, felt temperatures are predicted to be lower, especially at night and in the early morning.
The directorate pointed out that the predicted temperatures are lower than the January average, which is 15°C for minimum temperatures and 21°C for maximum temperatures.
The public, especially those who travel by water, was warned by the Meteorological Directorate to be cautious and to heed official alerts and cautions sent out via the directorate’s different channels.
