Dec. 15, Manama (BNA): Today, at Gudaibiya Palace, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, and Sara Ahmed Buhiji, Chairman of Exhibition World Bahrain and Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.

The meeting happened after Manama won the title of World’s Leading Business Travel Destination at the 2025 World Travel Awards. In addition to being recognized globally as the World’s Leading Large-Scale Wedding Venue and the World’s Leading MICE Event Venue, Exhibition World Bahrain also won four prizes during the event, including Middle East’s Best MICE Event Venue.
In addition to ambitious initiatives and programs being carried out in accordance with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, which is being led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasized that the ongoing growth of the Kingdom’s tourism sector reflects the strong commitment of the national workforce.
According to His Royal Highness, Bahrain is continuing to bolster its competitiveness as a top travel destination by combining distinctive tourist attractions with an atmosphere that promotes development and investment possibilities throughout the region.
His Royal Highness conveyed his gratitude for the tremendous efforts that led to these honors and accomplishments, pointing out that they demonstrate the dedication and collaboration of pertinent organizations in bolstering the tourism industry and expanding its role in accomplishing national development objectives.
His Royal Highness emphasized the tourist industry’s importance as a foundation of development and praised the dedication and knowledge of the country’s personnel, which sustain the industry’s expansion and prosperity.
His Royal Highness emphasized the Kingdom’s efforts to highlight Bahrain‘s varied activities and promising prospects, which support sustainable growth, increase the tourism sector’s economic contribution, and aid in economic diversification.
Her Excellency Al Sairafi, for her part, thanked His Royal Highness for his ongoing assistance in developing the tourism industry.
Attendees included HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court; and a number of officials who were instrumental in the development of Exhibition World Bahrain.
