Manama, Dec. 9 (BNA): The Ministry of the Interior declared that two people have been arrested by the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security for releasing a promotional advertising that included illegal activities.

The Directorate clarified that it found illicit content on one social media site as part of its continuous monitoring and analysis of content across all platforms. The culprits were identified and taken into custody as a result of the prompt investigation and search processes. The case is being referred to the Public Prosecution through legal action.
When using social media platforms, the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security emphasized the significance of abiding by rules and regulations and exercising national and ethical duty. It warned that in order to maintain public order and protect social values, legal action will continue to be taken against the misuse of electronic platforms, and it urged the public to avoid from producing or disseminating illegal content.
