Dec. 6, Manama (BNA): The General Directorate for Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security’s Anti-Cyber Crimes Directorate has filed a lawsuit against nine social media accounts that were determined to be breaking the law, according to the Ministry of Interior. The action came after content that threatened civil peace by inciting hatred and division among individuals was monitored.

According to the Directorate, people may also be held legally responsible for reposting or endorsing such content. It emphasized the significance of using social media responsibly, increasing public awareness, and protecting the community from the dangers of abuse in accordance with Bahraini society‘s values and customs as well as the law.
