Dec. 1, Manama (BNA): The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Bahrain hosted an event titled “Keynote Address & Panel Discussion: Navigating Bahrain’s Future of Transportation and Telecommunications” at which Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, served as both a guest of honor and the keynote speaker. Senior executives, ambassadors, business executives, and experts from Bahrain and the US attended the event.
Transportation Minister highlights Bahrain’s transport and telecom future at US Chamber of Commerce event
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed praised the strong strategic ties between Bahrain and the US in his speech, emphasizing collaboration in big data, aviation, logistics, the digital economy, and technological investment. He emphasized that Bahrain’s favorable business climate and the Free Trade Agreement help these industries.
The panel discussion concentrated on the future of transport and dispatches in Bahrain, exploring openings for American and transnational companies to contribute to the country’s development in smart mobility, logistics, and telecommunications.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain, established in 2004 following the US- Bahrain Free Trade Agreement, underlined its commitment to strengthening bilateral trade, connecting businesses, participating knowledge, and supporting business growth across transport, dispatches, and logistics sectors.
Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed stressed Bahrain’s vision to solidify its position as a indigenous mecca in transport and dispatches, reflecting the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
