Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Dar Al Manar for Parental Care celebrated its 25th anniversary with a ceremony sponsored by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).

Her Highness The event was attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s wife, Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, who also serves as Chairperson of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB) and Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF).

HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad emphasized that taking care of elderly people and parents in the Kingdom of Bahrain is a fundamental social duty as well as a humanitarian and religious obligation. She pointed out that Dar Al Manar’s initiatives, in collaboration with governmental bodies, civil society organizations, and the commercial sector, demonstrate the respect and gratitude due to elderly residents for their long-term contributions to the advancement of the country. She also emphasized how crucial community connections and ongoing support are to maintaining these admirable initiatives.

Dar Al Manar, according to HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad, is a notable example of respect and care for older residents, offering a complete social and psychological environment that permits them to stay active through leisure, employment, and educational programs. According to her, these programs enable participants to share their experiences, learn new skills, and continue to connect meaningfully with the community, all of which promote social development and cohesion.

On behalf of the board, members, and employees, Adnan Al Malki, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dar Al Manar, expressed gratitude to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for her support and honorary presidency since the organization’s founding.

He pointed out that Dar Al Manar has been successful over the past 25 years in servicing a significant portion of Bahraini society thanks in large part to HRH Princess Sabeeka’s ongoing assistance. Additionally, he praised the home’s sponsors and partners for their continued support, pointing out that they were acknowledged at the event for their contribution to fostering social cohesion in the Kingdom.

A traditional performance by locals and a short film honoring the 25th anniversary were presented during the occasion. Supporters received tokens of gratitude, and a commemorative gift was given to HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad on behalf of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim. She also visited an accompanying exhibition that featured the artwork created by organization members.
