National Cybersecurity Centre signs partnerships ahead of Arab Cybersecurity Conference
In strategic collaboration with the international DEF CON conference, the event is sponsored by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.
These partnerships are a part of the Center’s initiatives to promote the sharing of cutting-edge technology and skills while fortifying Bahrain’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
The first contract, which covered cooperation during the conference and exhibition, was signed with Kanoo Information Technology (Kanoo IT). In collaboration with EC-Council and Gulf IT Network Distribution, it offers a two-day cybersecurity awareness training program that aims to improve participants’ understanding of and ability to deal with cyber threats.
In order to give top-notch training in MITRE D3FEND cybersecurity approaches, a second agreement was formed with Paramount Assure, a prominent Middle Eastern provider of cybersecurity solutions. Through specialized training, professional certification, and capacity-building programs, this cooperation seeks to improve regional cyber defense capabilities.
Immersive Labs Limited and the corporation struck a third agreement whereby the latter will host interactive seminars and cyber crisis simulation exercises for technical and executive attendees as well as schoolchildren. Through training, capacity building, and knowledge sharing, both sides emphasized their shared commitment to bolstering Bahrain’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
The National Cybersecurity Center’s Deputy Chief Executive for Cyber Operations, Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, emphasized the significance of expanding Bahrain’s cybersecurity ecosystem through cooperative agreements that promote national capacity building and skill development. He pointed out that these alliances with top domestic and foreign tech firms demonstrate the Kingdom’s dedication to global collaboration and knowledge sharing while bolstering cutting-edge training initiatives that improve domestic capacities and guarantee Bahrain’s preparedness to handle new cyberthreats.
