London, Oct. 26 (BNA) — In honor of the Bahrain Society’s 60th anniversary, the Bahrain Society in London, led by Heather Harper, hosted its annual dinner in collaboration with the Kingdom of Bahrain Embassy in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Zubir Ahmed, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the UK’s Department of Health and Social Care; Sir Liam Fox, Chair of the UK Abraham Accords Group and former Secretary of State for Defence; and Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, attended the event.
Several ministers, members of the House of Commons and House of Lords from various political parties, prominent British government officials, corporate executives, and members of the community also attended the event.
The Bahrain Society in London has been instrumental in fostering bilateral ties and collaborations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom in a number of domains since its founding in 1965. By planning social gatherings and exchange visits, it has also encouraged interaction between the citizens of the two nations, especially those who have resided or worked in Bahrain and have strong personal and professional links.
