October 23, Manama (BNA): The 20th edition of StartUp Bahrain Pitch was held by StartUp Bahrain, the Kingdom’s premier national forum for fledgling businesses, as part of its continuous efforts to improve the startup entrepreneurship environment.

In an effort to encourage innovation among Bahraini youth and reaffirm the importance of entrepreneurship in empowering and developing the country, the event was organized with the help of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” and in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), and the Bahrain Development Bank (BDB).

Leading entrepreneurship experts and seasoned investors served on the event’s judging panel, which included Safa Sharif, a member of the EO Accelerator Board of Directors; Abe Seksek, Partner at Sekuity Ventures; Ghassan Halawa, Founder and CEO of Parachute 16; and Laith Al Khalili, Associate Director at Mumtalakat.

“Esbitar,” a mobile healthcare provider that provides high-quality, on-demand medical services straight to patients’ homes; “You’re Nuts,” a startup that specializes in making natural nut butters free of additives and preservatives; “Herbal Mama,” a haircare brand that offers plant-based, chemical-free formulas to nourish and restore hair vitality; and “Dona’s wonders,” which specializes in dishes and pastries that are 100% gluten-free and keto-friendly.

The results of this season were revealed after the competing entrepreneurs showcased their enterprises and were assessed by the panel of judges. “Dona’s Wonders” took first place, while “You’re Nuts” came in second.

According to Dona Maria of Dona’s Wonders, they are honored to have taken first place in this edition of Startup Bahrain Pitch, a renowned platform for entrepreneurs that fosters innovation and backs new projects. According to her, the win is a significant turning point for their startup that will help them reach their goals and expand and succeed in the future.

You’re Nuts’ Ali Albasri conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to all of the organizers and supporters who helped make the project a success. He claimed that taking part in Startup Bahrain Pitch was a motivating event that gave them the chance to network with a prestigious group of business owners, mentors, and industry professionals. This has opened up new avenues for their startup’s expansion and development.

This assistance is in line with Tamkeen‘s strategic priorities for 2025, which include strengthening Bahrainis’ standing and competitiveness in the private sector, giving them the skills they need to advance their careers in the private sector, giving enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability top priority, and fostering the growth of the ecosystem that surrounds the private sector and labor market.
