The chief executive of the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, emphasized the committee’s function in promoting the Kingdom’s digital transformation and expediting government digital initiatives. He pointed out that in order to meet national goals for digital transformation, ICT systems are constantly evolving and operational efficiency is being improved.

Among the main topics covered by the committee was the Ministry of Education’s extensive e-learning platform, which aims to promote the digital revolution of education. In accordance with global best practices, the project will offer an intelligent and dynamic learning environment. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be used to assist with education management, including the creation of exams automatically using learning resources and data banks that contain saved questions.

Additionally, it will use AI to create gamification-based interactive learning experiences. To facilitate data-driven decision-making, the platform will include performance management insights, interactive dashboards, and advanced analytics. It will enable virtual classrooms, integrate with remote meeting platforms, improve user experience, and guarantee educational continuity based on the highest standards in the e-learning industry. It is fully compatible with smartphones and tablets.

The committee also talked about the Medical Devices and Supplies Control Automation project of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), which would be carried out using a public-private partnership (PPP) approach. An integrated digital platform that streamlines and automates regulatory procedures for the licensing, registration, and supply of medical equipment and devices is the project’s goal. Procedures will be streamlined, efficiency will increase, human error will be decreased, and control and transparency will be strengthened.

The Ministry of Health’s Digital Transformation Strategy for Public Health, which provides a road map for creating health services with cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence, was also examined by the ICTGC. In order to further digital transformation and guarantee sustainable health care, the plan seeks to increase operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and improve service quality.

The committee has also handled a number of projects and procurement requests for the upkeep of IT infrastructure and systems across government agencies with the goal of enhancing operational continuity and the quality of IT services.

The committee also examined how well the measures decided at earlier meetings were being implemented.
