October 12, Manama (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, oversaw the creation of the Innovation Competition in Irrigation Solutions as part of this year’s National Tree Week (NTW) with the goal of promoting the use of excess treated water in afforestation and agriculture projects. In addition to planting a new tree to commemorate the week, His Royal Highness also watered the tree he had planted at the NTW launch last year.

In keeping with the Kingdom’s overall development, which is headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Innovation Competition in Irrigation Solutions promotes environmental conservation, resource sustainability, and the growth of irrigation networks.

His Royal Highness gave the appropriate ministries and authorities instructions to carry out the winning solution’s various stages and supervise them.

The Prime Minister and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince emphasized the value of National Tree Week and related events in strengthening environmental conservation, protecting natural resources, and guaranteeing their survival. His Royal Highness emphasized that these initiatives support the expansion of green places in the Kingdom and increase public knowledge of sustainable practices.

In order to further the Kingdom’s afforestation initiatives, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad further reaffirmed the significance of cooperation between civil bodies, government officials, citizens, and locals.

His Royal Highness praised everyone’s unwavering efforts in carrying out the Kingdom’s afforestation strategy.

These initiatives reinforce the Kingdom’s commitment to maintaining the highest environmental standards and using best practices across development projects in all sectors, according to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This strategy reaffirms Bahrain‘s resolve to create a sustainable future for future generations and become carbon neutral by 2060.

Additionally, according to His Royal Highness, these programs enhance the welfare of individuals and inhabitants, promote investment in creative and ecologically friendly solutions, and enhance the Kingdom’s reputation as a leader in sustainable development.

Deputy Prime Minister HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Minister of Finance and National Economy HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa were also present.
