The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) created the National eParticipation Platform (bahrain.bh/sharekna), which took first prize in the Best Practice in Community eParticipation category. In the Best Unified Government App category, the MyGov app received the Recognition Award. At the GCC level, the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) Cyber Guardian game took first prize in the Best Educational Digital Game category.

Bahrain’s continued digital excellence under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is reflected in the acknowledgment of the National eParticipation Platform and the MyGov app, said Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the iGA, who expressed delight in the accomplishment.

According to Al Qaed, the accomplishment of these initiatives reflects the goal of Prime Minister and Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which is to promote digital innovation and service efficiency for the benefit of citizens and communities.

He praised the work of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT) in advancing Bahrain’s digital transformation and incorporating cutting-edge technologies into government programs, and he congratulated General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the committee.

Al Qaed also praised the National Cyber Security Center’s CEO, Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, on the Cyber Guardian Game’s accomplishment in raising awareness of cybersecurity.

By allowing individuals and residents to participate in decision-making and help create digital services and national projects, he emphasized the National eParticipation Platform’s significance in fostering community participation and consultation. He continued by saying that by offering a consistent platform for obtaining government services, the MyGov app is a significant step toward unified eService delivery.

Al Qaed praised the iGA team’s commitment and skill in creating both initiatives, pointing out that their work keeps Bahrain‘s standing as a regional leader in digital governance strong.

He said that the GCC Digital Government Award honors Gulf accomplishments, encourages eService delivery best practices, develops regional digital integration, and advances the GCC ICT industry both domestically and internationally.

The GCC Digital Government Award honors group initiatives to raise living standards and boost global competitiveness while promoting cooperation and healthy competition among participating nations.
