The necessity of backing national projects that showcase Bahraini uniqueness and strengthen its place within a full tourism experience was emphasized by the Minister of Tourism. Such initiatives, she said, give Bahraini brands the chance to enter regional and global markets, especially those that sell products with cultural and heritage influences that enhance the travel experience, support the country’s tourism industry, and contribute to economic diversification.

In keeping with ongoing efforts to diversify tourism products and increase the sector’s contribution to the national economy, Minister Al Sairafi emphasized that the opening of the new Annada branch reflects the ongoing support for innovative projects that combine local creativity with tourism appeal.

Nada Alawi, the founder and creative director of Annada, said she was grateful for the official backing given to national businesses and saw it as motivation to keep growing. She went on to say that the new location at Marassi Galleria offers a chance to showcase Bahrain’s artistic and fashion experiences in a creative manner, emphasizing the rising popularity of regional companies as tourist attractions.

She emphasized that Annada’s mission is to ensure that creativity continues to be a vital component of Bahraini culture and to bring art closer to people’s everyday lives through clothes, presents, or mementos.

Along with fans of art, fashion, and lifestyle, a number of officials attended the event. There was an art display during the event that included scarves, clothing, and lifestyle items that were inspired by the original artworks. The designs capture the spirit of innovation and expand the artwork’s influence beyond gallery walls into aspects of everyday elegance.

More than 25 well-known regional musicians, including as Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa, Abbas Al Mousawi, Shaikha Marwa Al Khalifa, Raeda Ashoor, Mariam Fakhro, Abdul Elah Al Arab, and Omar Al Rashid, have worked with Annada since its founding in 2011.

Annada has won numerous distinguished honors throughout the years, including the Bahraini Female Entrepreneur Honour Seal, a Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship nomination, and most recently, the Jadara Award’s Customer Loyalty Award 2025.
