Manama, Sep. 4 (BNA): Under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, a groundbreaking system of social solidarity has been established, based on noble values and introducing new concepts of humanitarian giving, according to Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance.

On the occasion of the International Day of Charity, he emphasized the directives of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to keep carrying out plans and initiatives that promote social and charitable work and to deepen collaborations with civil society organizations in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
In order to demonstrate the Royal vision of investing in a better future for humanity through creative and sustainable approaches, he highlighted the accomplishments of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), which is chaired by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs. These accomplishments include social care, aiding orphans and widows, and providing relief to communities affected by disasters and crises.
The event offers a chance to highlight the value of charitable work as a way of life and a shared obligation, as well as to increase awareness of the necessity of promoting volunteerism and humanitarian endeavors, according to Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed. He emphasized Royal efforts like advancing humanitarian diplomacy to lessen suffering and provide health and education services to people impacted by war. In addition to creating the King Hamad Award for Coexistence and Tolerance, he recalled His Majesty the King’s gesture of allocating all official funding for the silver anniversary celebrations of His Majesty’s accession to charitable associations and funds.
He emphasized that Bahrain has a long history of humanitarian endeavors that extend beyond emergency relief and individual assistance, making it an integral part of the country’s identity and a manifestation of its compassion and unity. He emphasized that the Kingdom has made charitable activity a sustained, institutionalized system that is governed by pre-existing laws.
The Chairman went on to say that the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance is still working to further human fraternity ideals while creating new tools to improve communication and peace. The center also supports global stability and prosperity by promoting tolerance and creating capacity through its worldwide collaborations, condemning hatred and extremism.
