Manama, April 2 (BNA): Major General Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Balawi, Commander of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) Unified Military Command, and Major General Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Ruwaili, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force, met with Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Commander-in-Chief meets GCC Unified Military Command and Peninsula Shield Force Commanders
The BDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, was in attendance.
The GCC Unified Military Command and Peninsula Shield Force commanders were welcomed to the meeting by the Commander-in-Chief, who also praised their ongoing efforts to promote military cooperation, coordination, and joint defense integration. He pointed out that these initiatives help protect the advantages made by GCC member states.
In accordance with the GCC Joint Defence Agreement, he reiterated the BDF’s unwavering commitment to the significance and efficacy of joint military cooperation and the advancement of collective defense integration.
